On Sawan Monday, wake up early and start the day by meditating on Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.
After taking a bath, wear clean clothes. Offer water to the Sun God with a pure heart.
Clean the temple and purify it with Ganga water. Perform the Abhishek (ritual bath) of Lord Shiva and take the vow of fasting.
Use white flowers, sandalwood paste, rice, Panchamrit, betel nut, Ganga water, fruits, and pure water for the worship of Lord Shiva and Parvati.
Light a lamp with desi ghee, perform the aarti, and chant the "Om Namah Shivaya" mantra while praising Lord Shiva.
Burn cow dung cakes, and when they turn into embers, offer ghee, rice, and sugar into the fire.
Present fruits, sweets, kheer, halwa, curd, and milk as offerings.
Feed Brahmins and donate clothes, shoes, and slippers to those in need.
