MP Wheat Procurement Reaches 5.80 Lakh Metric Tonnes, Registration of 14 Lakh Farmers Completed – Last Date: March 31

The government is actively purchasing wheat at the Minimum Support Price (MSP) in Madhya Pradesh. Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Protection Minister Govind Singh Rajput has announced that 74,697 farmers have sold 5,80,711 metric tons of wheat so far. The government is ensuring timely payments, with ₹757.36 crore already transferred to farmers' accounts.

Farmers Benefiting from Wheat Procurement Scheme:

This year, the government has set the MSP for wheat at ₹2,425 per quintal. Additionally, the state government is offering a bonus of ₹175 per quintal, bringing the total price to ₹2,600 per quintal. This helps farmers get better returns on their crops.

Wheat Procurement Status in Different Districts:

Wheat procurement is happening at a good pace across various districts in Madhya Pradesh. Here are the top contributing districts:

  1. Ujjain – 1,19,535 metric tons
  2. Sehore – 83,735 metric tons
  3. Dewas – 60,456 metric tons
  4. Shajapur – 60,282 metric tons
  5. Indore – 42,765 metric tons
  6. Bhopal – 38,640 metric tons
  7. Rajgarh – 36,457 metric tons
  8. Other districts like Mandsaur, Vidisha, Dhar, Harda, and Khandwa are also seeing active wheat purchases.

Farmers Must Register Before March 31:

So far, 13.98 lakh farmers have registered to sell their wheat under this scheme. Farmers who have not yet registered must do so before March 31 to benefit from the government's procurement program.
Farmers should take full advantage of this opportunity to sell their wheat at MSP and receive fair payments on time.
