The Madhya Pradesh government has extended the last date for wheat procurement registration for the Rabi marketing year 2025-26 to April 9, 2025. Earlier, the deadline was set for March 31, 2025. Minister for Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Protection, Shri Govind Singh Rajput, has urged farmers who have not yet registered to take advantage of this extended deadline.
The government is offering a Minimum Support Price (MSP) of ₹2,425 per quintal for wheat. Additionally, the state government is providing a bonus of ₹175 per quintal, making the total purchase price ₹2,600 per quintal. This initiative aims to boost farmers' income and provide them with financial stability.
As of March 31, 2025, around 15.09 lakh farmers had already registered for wheat procurement, and the purchasing process is ongoing. The government is focused on including more farmers in the scheme to enhance their economic security.
