Youth Shakti Mission: A Step Towards Education, Skill Development, and Employment for the Youth

The Madhya Pradesh government has focused entirely on the empowerment of the underprivileged, youth, farmers, and women, following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of “GYAN” (Garib, Yuva, Annadata, and Nari). To usher in the New Year 2025 with a landmark initiative, the state government is set to launch the “Youth Shakti Mission” on January 1, 2025. This mission aims to harness the potential and capabilities of the youth to give a new direction to the development of Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav believes that empowered youth leadership will script the golden chapter of the state’s development.

Youth will get education, skills and employment opportunities:

The “Youth Shakti Mission” is focused on developing leadership qualities in the youth through education, skill development, and community service. This mission will not only educate and professionally upskill the youth but also encourage them to actively participate in socio-economic development.

Through effective use of modern technology, skill training will be imparted to the youth to ensure they secure well-paying jobs or succeed in entrepreneurship, thereby contributing to the state's economy. Under this mission, the government has partnered with industries and business institutions to create various employment opportunities for the youth of Madhya Pradesh. Additionally, it will provide skill training, financial assistance, and mentorship to encourage self-employment. As a result, the youth will not just be job seekers but job creators, making a significant contribution to the state’s economic growth.

Increasing Youth Participation through the Youth Shakti Mission:

Under the strategic leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, the “Youth Shakti Mission” is aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of youth empowerment. The mission’s core objective is to develop leadership capabilities among the youth. It aims to involve them in governance and community service, helping them become responsible citizens while honing their skills through participation in local development projects.

Leveraging Technology for Skill Development: Modern technology plays a pivotal role in the successful implementation of the mission. The government has planned to make skill development courses available on online platforms, ensuring equal access for both urban and rural youth. Additionally, social media and digital platforms will be leveraged to disseminate mission-related information, making it easily accessible to the youth and increasing awareness about the initiative.
